Lucknow: The Northern Railways Lucknow division has announced traffic and power blocks at Charbagh railway station from Apr 4-11, to facilitate infrastructure development work linked to the proposed concourse construction.The restrictions will affect operations at platform number one, where shelter removal and foundation work will be carried out as part of the station’s modernization programme.“The eight-day block is being implemented to enhance passenger facilities and improve station infrastructure. During this period, several trains will be cancelled, short-terminated, short-originated, diverted or assigned alternate platforms,” said a railway official.The Lucknow–Jhansi Memu (64702) will remain cancelled from Apr 4-11. Four passenger trains running between Lucknow, Balamau and Shahjahanpur will be partially cancelled or short-terminated at Alamnagar.Over a dozen express and mail trains, including the Sabarmati Express, Gorakhpur–Mumbai Express, Bariuni–Gwalior Mail and Kashi Vishwanath Express, will be diverted via Aishbagh Junction or Transport Nagar instead of Lucknow. Additionally, platform changes have been announced for more than 40 trains at Lucknow station, with arrivals and departures shifted from platform number one to other platforms.
