Lucknow: The Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) marked the National Science Day (celebrated on Feb 28) by holding a programme titled “Women in Science: Catalyzing Viksit Bharat”.The institute organized an educational visit for around 50 girl students and two teachers from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.The programme began with an orientation session where scientists spoke about the role of science and research in solving healthcare and societal challenges. They also highlighted the contribution of women scientists in the nation’s development. Members of the CDRI Science Club conducted a science quiz and interactive games to encourage student participation.Students were later taken on guided tours of laboratories, where they observed modern research facilities and scientific instruments. They also interacted with researchers and learned about ongoing work in drug discovery and biomedical sciences. TNN
