MP Board 5th and 8th results 2026: The School Education Department in Madhya Pradesh has announced the results of the Class 5 and Class 8 board-pattern examinations, with overall pass percentages remaining above 90 per cent in both categories. The results were released during a programme held at Vallabh Bhavan in Bhopal by School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh.According to official data, the overall pass percentage stood at 95.14 per cent for Class 5 and 93.83 per cent for Class 8. Female students outperformed male students in both classes, continuing a consistent trend observed in recent years.Performance trends across both classesIn Class 5, 96.19 per cent of female students passed compared to 94.15 per cent of male students. In Class 8, the pass percentage for female students was recorded at 94.98 per cent, while male students registered 92.74 per cent.A total of approximately 2,368,000 students appeared for the examinations across 110,699 institutions, including government schools, private schools and madrasas. Among these, 93,281 schools were located in rural areas and 17,418 in urban areas.Top divisions and districts identifiedIn Class 5, Shahdol division secured the top position, followed by Narmadapuram and Indore. Narsinghpur district led among districts, followed by Dindori and Balaghat.For Class 8, Indore division ranked first, with Narmadapuram and Shahdol following. Narsinghpur again emerged as the leading district, followed by Alirajpur and Dindori.Examination scale and evaluation processThe examinations were conducted at 12,943 centres across the state. Multiple servers were deployed to prevent technical disruptions.Students who did not pass will be given the opportunity to appear in supplementary examinations. They will be required to reappear only in the subjects they failed.
