During chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Japan’s Yamanashi Prefecture on Thursday, governor Kotaro Nagasaki proposed a visit to Uttar Pradesh in Aug this year, along with 200 Japanese CEOs. In Jan this year, an 8-member Japanese delegation, led by Yamanashi Prefecture deputy governor Junichi Ishidora, visited UP and met the CM, where they discussed strengthening the strategic partnership between India and Japan and the possibility of future collaborations. The CM said the proposed visit will give fresh momentum to industrial investment and partnerships in the state. He highlighted the presence of a Japan Desk under Invest UP to assist Japanese investors and announced a proposed Japan Industrial Township under the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority area, where special opportunities would be offered to Japanese companies.
