Lucknow: Forty-five students, who prepared for the UPPCS-2024 under the department of social welfare’s free coaching and guidance schemes, have cleared the coveted exams.Social welfare minister of state (independent charge) Asim Arun congratulated the selected candidates and said their achievement would not only inspire future generations but also send the message that any goal can be achieved with the right guidance. Of the successful candidates, 35 prepared at the Pre-Examination Training Centre at Lucknow’s Bhagidari Bhawan, and at centres under the Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana. Another 10 prepared for the mock interview programme under the Abhyudaya Yojana. Deputy director, social welfare department, Anand Kumar Singh said 16 candidates were enrolled at the residential coaching at Bhagidari Coaching, eight prepared at the Adarsh Pariksha Kendra located in Aliganj, four at the Govt IAS/PCS Coaching Centre in Hapur, and 17 were under the Abhyudaya Yojana. The coaching by the ministry of social welfare provides candidates from Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes with free residential facilities, meals, library, online and offline classes and test papers. In addition to preparation for the main examination, special sessions are organised for interviews, where guidance is provided to candidates by subject experts and senior IAS and PCS officers.
