LUCKNOW: District magistrate Vishakh G and joint police commissioner Babloo Kumar on Thursday inspected examination centres across Lucknow to review arrangements for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026, according to an official statement.The officials visited the Government Girls’ Inter College (Chhoti Jubilee) on Nabiullah Road and the Government Girls’ Inter College on Shahmina Road, where they reviewed candidate entry procedures, security arrangements and examination operations.According to the district administration, officials examined biometric verification, identity checks, CCTV surveillance, question paper security and strong room arrangements. Centre administrators were directed to follow the guidelines issued by the state government and examination authorities.The administration said all examination centres are under CCTV surveillance and that zonal magistrates have been deployed to monitor the conduct of the examination. It added that a central control room has been set up to oversee the process.UPTET 2026 is being conducted at 46 examination centres in Lucknow, with 96,454 candidates expected to appear. The district administration said 46 sector magistrates and 46 static magistrates have been deployed, along with adequate police personnel, to oversee the examination.
