Lucknow: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) conducted a lottery draw to allot developed residential plots to farmers and landowners who contributed land under the land pooling policy for its IT City scheme.On Monday, the draw was held at the Mars auditorium of Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, where applicants were invited to participate in the lottery process. It was also streamed live on YouTube.LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar said the scheme is being developed over about 3,490 acre along Sultanpur road. Landowners who executed agreements with LDA by Jan 31 were included in the draw. Plots in six categories were allotted through the draw. These included residential plots measuring 288, 200, 162, 128, 72 and 35 sqmt. A total of 549 plots were allotted.The plots were planned in sectors 15, 16, 17, 18 and 30 of the IT City scheme. Around 350 landowners pooled nearly 550 acre of land under the policy. The land for the project includes various villages in Mohanlalganj tehsil.LDA officials said applicants whose agreements were completed by the deadline were called on stage to draw the slips. Several farmers and landowners present at the venue said the process was conducted in a transparent manner.
