Lucknow: A 22-year-old man was arrested in Banthra for allegedly making inappropriate sexual advances towards a 3-year-old girl. The accused, Rohit Kumar Mishra, was arrested on Sunday and sent to judicial custody.Police said that the incident took place on July 20 when the girl was playing outside her house while her mother was on the terrace.Police said Rohit was passing by the house allegedly under the influence of alcohol. He stopped near the child and engaged in inappropriate act with her.When the girl’s mother raised an alarm, the accused fled the spot.On the family’s complaint, police registered a case under the POCSO Act.The accused was produced before the appropriate authorities and sent to jail.
