The Vijay-led Tamil Nadu government has directed the School education department, higher education department, police department and district administrations to take coordinated measures to prevent school and college students and youth from participating in protests and agitation programmes.According to an official communication issued by the Department of Collegiate Education, the measures are aimed at programmes organised by Left-wing parties and the Tamil Nadu Cockroach Janata Party (CJP).The Directorate of Collegiate Education (DCE) has asked the departments and district administrations to take appropriate action to discourage and prevent students from joining such programmes. The authorities have also been directed to coordinate their efforts and submit reports detailing the action taken.The directive comes as part of instructions to prevent students and youth from participating in political protests and agitation programmes organised by the parties named in the communication.
