Andreessen Horowitz published the sixth edition of its consumer AI rankings and the data tells a different story than six months ago. ChatGPT now has 900 million weekly active users and 2.7x the web traffic of second-place Gemini, but Claude and Gemini are growing paid subscribers at over 200 percent year-over-year. Midjourney fell from the top 10 to number 46 as ChatGPT and Gemini absorbed image generation into their core products. The most striking shift is geographic: the market has fractured into Western, Chinese, and Russian tool ecosystems with almost no overlap, and Singapore leads the world in per-capita AI adoption while the US sits at twentieth. This edition also expanded scope to include legacy apps like CapCut and Notion where AI became central to the product, which makes the list harder to compare with previous versions but more honest about where usage actually lives.
