Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has cancelled four industrial land allotments in different nodes of the UP Defence Industrial Corridor after the allottees failed to meet prescribed investment, construction, and payment obligations within stipulated timelines. The cancellations followed a review of compliance status of allotted plots, where it was found that progress on several projects remained unsatisfactory despite significant time having passed since allocation. The authority noted such delays affected planned industrial activity, employment generation, and utilization of allocated land. The cancelled industrial land allotments included that of Kungarmar Pvt Ltd, who were allotted land in 2021 in the Kanpur node for defence textile manufacturing. The firm did not pay instalments or annual lease rent and did not submit building plans over several years despite repeated notices. Similarly, P2 Logitec Pvt Ltd, which was allotted land in 2021 in the Aligarh node for optical sight manufacturing, did not clear dues or begin project implementation despite notices and opportunities for hearings.Another allotment in Aligarh was cancelled for Tractrix Opto Dynamics LLP. It was allotted land in 2021 for precision and optical equipment manufacturing. The firm did not submit building plans or initiate construction despite multiple notices issued between 2023 and 2025.Land allotment for Milkor Defence Pvt Ltd was also cancelled. The company was allotted land in 2021 in the Aligarh node for manufacturing grenade launchers, but did not meet payment obligations or project development requirements under lease conditions despite ongoing communication from the authority. The cancellations were carried out after following due process. It stated that the action was a part of its ongoing efforts to ensure effective use of industrial land and adherence to project timelines within the corridor.
