Lucknow: Doctors from multiple specialties discussed evolving cancer therapies and the growing role of personalised treatment at the Medanta Cancer Summit 2026, held at Medanta Hospital Lucknow.Inaugurating the summit, Dr Rakesh Kapoor said that cancer care is now moving towards precision-based, patient-specific therapies. He added such academic forums promote collaboration among specialists to improve outcomes. A cancer awareness video on prevention, causes and treatment was also released. Scientific sessions focused on precision oncology, advances in radiation therapy and early detection of head and neck cancers.Experts discussed new treatment approaches for breast cancer and acute leukaemia, including CAR-T therapy. Discussions on gastrointestinal, lung and urogenital cancers highlighted complex and robotic surgeries while the final session covered cervical cancer treatment and radiation therapy outcomes. tnn
