BENGALURU: TCS CEO K Krithivasan on Friday said the company had constituted an oversight committee chaired by independent director Keki Mistry to review the investigation at its Nashik unit, which is under scrutiny over allegations of sexual harassment and religious coercion of employees.Krithivasan said while detailed reviews were ongoing, a preliminary examination of systems and records had not revealed any complaints of the alleged nature through its ethics or POSH channels.TCS said it had acted swiftly upon learning of the case, adding that employees under investigation had been suspended pending inquiry. The company has also engaged expert teams from Deloitte and legal counsel Trilegal as independent advisers to the internal probe led by president and COO Aarthi Subramanian. The findings will be presented to the oversight committee for review and implementation of recommendations.TCS has also clarified that a person who has been “repeatedly” referred to as an HR manager is neither an HR manager nor responsible for recruitment. “She served as a process associate and held no leadership responsibilities,” the statement said. The company added that its Nashik unit continued to operate normally and dismissed reports of a shutdown as entirely untrue.“TCS holds itself to the highest standards of employee welfare and institutional conduct. We remain fully committed to the safety, dignity, and well-being of every employee. As we have stated before, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of coercion or misconduct,” it said, adding that it would continue to support employees and ensure a safe workplace across locations. The company also said it would extend full cooperation to law enforcement agencies to ensure the matter was investigated thoroughly, transparently, and brought to a rightful conclusion.Earlier this week, Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran had said the allegations emerging from the TCS Nashik branch were “gravely concerning and anguishing”.
