Lucknow: In the latest report on the Ansh Nirdharan campaign, ranking districts on their performance in management of land related works and disposal of cases, Bahraich district has secured the first position with a disposal rate of 99.6%.District magistrate Akshay Tripathi said that as part of the campaign, the Bahraich district administration accelerated the process of Ansh Nirdharan by visiting every village under its jurisdiction. Revenue officers and employees verified disputed land among farmers and landholders and updated records, making it possible to resolve cases that had remained pending for years.“This achievement was made possible due to regular reviews, fixed accountability and time-bound target setting. The proactive approach of the administration not only reduced land disputes but will also make the land acquisition process for development projects much smoother,” he said.A govt spokesperson said that earlier, many projects used to get stalled due to land dispute issues, but the problem appears to be easing now with the govt’s focus on swift resolution of disputes. He said that Bahraich’s model is being seen as a framework that can be implemented in other districts as well, which could help make land records across the state more transparent and dispute-free.
