KOCHI: Ernakulam Central police have booked a film director on charges of Pocso following a complaint by the viral Kumbh Mela girl.Police sources said that the woman has alleged that the accused misbehaved with her when she was a minor. She has alleged that the director exploited her on the pretext of offering acting opportunities after she became popular through the viral video.An officer confirmed that the case has been registered against the director but refused to divulge more details, adding that the alleged incident occurred outside Kerala. The case will be transferred to the police station concerned, said an officer. The woman is also learnt to have given a confidential statement before a magistrate as well.At a news conference in Kochi earlier, the woman had alleged that the director had inappropriately touched her “10 times”. “When I told my family about it, they didn’t support me,” she had said.
