NEW DELHI: A Lucknow–Delhi IndiGo flight was delayed on Friday after a hoax bomb threat was received shortly before take-off, according to sources.The IndiGo flight, carrying around 180 passengers, was scheduled to depart from Lucknow at 10:45 am.According to news agency PTI, the crew received information about a possible bomb threat on board.Following the alert, the aircraft was held at the apron and security personnel conducted thorough checks of the plane and surrounding areas as part of precautionary measures.Another source told PTI that a tissue paper with the word “bomb” written on it was found inside the aircraft’s lavatory, triggering panic, though it was later confirmed to be a hoax.No explosive or any harmful substance was found during the inspection, the official added, stating that further legal and security procedures are underway.(With agency inputs)
