VISAKHAPATNAM: Two workers were killed and two others were feared trapped after a major fire broke out at Dakshin Energy’s facility in Paravada, Anakapalle district, on Tuesday morning.The deceased were identified as Trinadh (27) and Venkatesh (24), both residents of the Atchutapuram area in Anakapalle district.According to local residents, Dakshin Energy manufactures plastic pyrolysis oil and carbon black. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. However, the presence of large quantities of plastic material at the unit is believed to have contributed to the rapid spread of the blaze.Workers at the site said two people were charred to death, while two others remained trapped after the fire erupted. Several workers managed to escape the facility.Police said firefighting operations were underway and efforts were being made to bring the blaze under control. Teams from various departments are expected to inspect the site and investigate the cause of the accident once the fire is extinguished.The incident is the latest in a series of industrial accidents reported from the Visakhapatnam region in recent months.
