Lucknow: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Monday submitted a memorandum to the vice chancellor of Lucknow University, Prof JP Saini, seeking stringent action over the alleged illegal collection of money from students in the name of viva voce and practical examinations at an affiliated private college in Itaunja.The student organisation also demanded an impartial inquiry into alleged academic and administrative irregularities at the institution.Earlier in the day, ABVP members visited the college to discuss the complaints with the principal. However, the organisation alleged that the college administration did not cooperate with them.ABVP Bakshi Ka Talab convener Ankit Pandey said: “Educational institutions are meant to shape the future and character of students, not become centres of economic exploitation.”
