Akshay Kumar, who is currently enjoying the success of Bhooth Bangla directed by Priyadarshan, recently underwent a minor eye procedure while juggling the shoot of his upcoming film with Anees Bazmee. Known for his packed schedule and multiple releases each year, the actor has now decided to slow down briefly to prioritise his health.As per a Hindustan Times report, a source revealed, “It was a minor surgery which took place on the morning of May 6, Wednesday. It was for vision correction. Akshay will now take a break and recuperate since he has also finished the Keralam schedule of his next film with Anees, which also stars Vidya Balan and Raashii Khanna.”Just a day before the surgery, Akshay had shared an update on X after wrapping up a shooting schedule. He wrote, “Keralam schedule wrapped! Nothing beats working with good people in a beautiful place. Big love to our director Anees Bazmee for the madness behind the camera and to my incredible co-stars @vidya_balan, Raashii, Chota Rajpal and the entire crew! This one’s been special.”The actor also made headlines recently for his disciplined lifestyle during an appearance on Wheel of Fortune, where he revealed that he has stayed away from samosas for over 15 years. He said, “Where is it written that if a person doesn’t eat samosas, something will go wrong? Have I done something wrong by not eating a samosa?”Adding to this, actor Saurabh Shukla praised Akshay’s eating habits during a podcast with Siddharth Kannan, saying, “He eats limited food. Properly. He eats very simple, traditional Indian food. He eats everything,”On the professional front, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for a busy slate with upcoming films like Welcome to the Jungle, Haiwaan, and Golmaal 5.
