Anthropic released MCP connectors linking Claude to Ableton, Adobe Creative Cloud, Blender, SketchUp, Autodesk Fusion, and several other creative applications. The integrations let users write custom scripts, batch-process assets, generate 3D models from descriptions, and control real-time VJ software through natural language. Educational partnerships with RISD, Ringling College, and Goldsmiths are already in place. The positioning is deliberate – Anthropic frames Claude as handling repetitive production tasks while humans retain taste and creative direction. Adobe and Canva both already have their own AI features built in, so the interesting tension here is whether Claude becomes the orchestration layer sitting above individual creative apps, or whether those apps’ native AI tools win out by being closer to the canvas.
