The BTS comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square was nothing short of epic, as the boys took over the stage for the first time in four years to give ARMY a night they will not forget. However, after the success of the show, news reports indicate that the trouble may only just be starting. Organisers behind BTS’s recent comeback concert in Seoul may face lawsuits after several couples reported disruptions to their wedding plans due to the large-scale event at a public spot. BTS concert hit with criticismWhile the concert marked a significant moment for fans, its scale and choice of venue drew criticism from some local residents. According to local media reports, multiple brides and grooms encountered logistical difficulties on their wedding day as traffic restrictions were imposed around the area. One groom, identified as “A,” told Kyunghyang Shinmun that he was forced to reschedule his ceremony an hour earlier to 11 am to avoid congestion. He said he personally notified the guests and claimed that some even missed the celebrations. Meanwhile, other local businesses and certain flower delivery services reportedly cancelled due to restricted access.BTS to face lawsuit from localsOne criticised both Seoul Metropolitan Government and HYBE, stating, “It was practically like they had stolen the plaza, which belongs to all citizens. I wonder if it would have been better if they had at least made a statement of sincere apology.”Another groom, identified as Mr. Son, indicated he is considering filing a lawsuit for damages against the organisers. He noted that he had specifically chosen a venue near Gwanghwamun for its accessibility. Public sentiment has also turned critical of both HYBE and city authorities for permitting the large-scale event in a public space and blocking transport, instead of just arranging a stadium for a concert. While some have asked for compensation, some others have demanded accountability from the planning committee. V gets candid about comeback Amid the controversy, BTS member V connected with fans via a live session on Weverse shortly after the performance. During the broadcast, he discussed new tracks, including ‘Body to Body’, and also highlighted ‘Hooligan’ as one of his top three favourite songs, revealing that fellow member JungKook contributed to its theme.V reassured viewers that a full choreography version of the performance would be released soon.
