Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have announced their second pregnancy on Sunday, April 19, 2026. They became parents to a daughter and named her Dua Padukone Singh in September 2024. As they shared this happy news and got flooded with congratulatory messages from fans and their friends from the industry, an old video of Ranveer talking about fatherhood has now gone viral again. In the clip from 2024, shared shortly before the birth of their first child, Ranveer spoke openly about the emotions he was experiencing at the time. While he was performing at a wedding, he said on stage, “That infinite happiness that I am experiencing right now, I wish I had the words to express what it’s like. But there are no words in any language that can describe this happiness. It’s like magic. I am excited for me.” At the same event, he also hinted at how seriously he had already embraced the role of a parent, adding, “I have been on daddy duty for a long time now.”The couple shared their latest announcement through a joint Instagram post. The image features their daughter Dua holding a positive pregnancy test kit, while the caption included two evil eye emojis.Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot on November 14, 2018, in an elaborate ceremony at Lake Como, Italy. The celebrations included two wedding rituals, honouring Deepika’s Konkani roots and Ranveer’s Sindhi heritage. Their love story began on the sets of ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ in 2013. After several years of dating, the two got engaged in 2015 in a private ceremony before officially announcing their marriage in 2018.
