Assam HS Result 2026: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) will declare the Higher Secondary (HS) Result 2026 at 10:30 am on April 28, ending days of uncertainty over the Class 12 result schedule. The declaration timing comes after Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the result date, following speculation triggered by unauthorised notices circulating online.More than 3.3 lakh students who appeared in the annual examination across Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational streams are set to receive their scores. The result will be released through official portals, where candidates will be able to check subject-wise marks, qualifying status and other details through their roll credentials.Large candidate base awaits stream-wise performanceApproximately 3,30,744 candidates appeared in the Assam HS examinations conducted from February 11 to March 16 across 821 centres. Arts accounted for nearly 2.4 lakh candidates, while Science had over 55,000 students and Commerce around 17,000 examinees. The result for all streams will be declared simultaneously.Alongside individual scorecards, the board is expected to publish stream-wise pass percentages, overall pass rate and other statistical details. Such figures will be closely watched, particularly after last year’s overall pass percentage stood at 81.77 per cent.Previous year data provides comparisonIn the 2025 session, nearly 2.47 lakh students passed the examination. Science recorded the highest pass percentage at 84.88 per cent, followed by Commerce at 82.18 per cent and Arts at 81.03 per cent, while Vocational stood at 68.55 per cent.Gender-wise data last year showed female candidates outperformed male students in all four streams. In Science, female candidates recorded 85.54 per cent against 84.39 per cent among male candidates. Similar comparative data is expected after this year’s declaration. The April 28 result also follows the board’s recent pattern. In 2025, the Assam HS result was announced on April 30, while in 2024 it was declared on May 9.How students can access scoresCandidates will be able to check their results online once the link is activated at 10:30 am. Students will need to enter their roll details to download the provisional marksheet. Original marksheets are expected to be issued later through schools. The board is also expected to issue information on rechecking, photocopies of answer scripts and compartment procedures after the result declaration. With the announcement now hours away, attention has shifted from date speculation to the release of one of Assam’s largest school examination outcomes.
