Lucknow: Astronaut and Group Captain, Shubhanshu Shukla returned to his alma mater, City Montessori School on Wednesday to attend a special event marking the International Day of Human Space Flight at the World Unity Convention Centre at the Kanpur Road campus.Addressing a gathering of students from 22 CMS campuses, both in person and online, he spoke about his space journey, and through a presentation explained in detail, the challenges he faced during his space missions, and his experience of living in an International Space Station.“Travelling to space is an incredible experience, where the entire planet Earth appears as one’s own home,” he said.Students also interacted with him in a question-answer session.A panel discussion featuring Shukla, principal secretary, IT & Electronics, govt of Uttar Pradesh, Neha Jain, director IIIT Lucknow, Arun Mohan Sherry, IIT Kanpur Professor, Nitin Saxena and CMS manager Geeta Gandhi Kingdon was also held.Earlier, CMS founder-director Bharti Gandhi welcomed the astronaut.
