Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has been ruled out for four weeks after suffering a grade 1 muscle tear in his right hamstring and a meniscal degeneration in his right knee.The left-arm pacer picked up the injury during the opening ODI of Bangladesh’s ongoing tour of Zimbabwe. He was ruled out of the second ODI after experiencing discomfort during the match.The injury means Mustafizur will miss The Hundred, where he was set to become the first Bangladesh cricketer to feature in the tournament. Birmingham Phoenix had signed him for his base price of GBP 100,000. The competition is being held in England from July 21 to August 16.Birmingham Phoenix have confirmed that a replacement player will be announced.Mustafizur bowled six overs in the opening ODI against Zimbabwe, conceding 19 runs before leaving the field because of the injury.The experienced seamer had only recently returned from another knee injury he suffered earlier in 2026.Phoenix begin their campaign against Trent Rockets on Friday (July 24).
