BSEB scrutiny 2026: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has started the online scrutiny application process for students who appeared in the Intermediate and Secondary Special and Compartmental Examinations, 2026. Candidates dissatisfied with their marks can apply for scrutiny of answer sheets from May 25, 2026 to May 29, 2026 through the board’s designated portals.The board has also issued fresh instructions regarding correction of errors in mark sheets and original certificates of candidates who appeared in the Intermediate and Secondary Annual, Compartmental and Special Examinations, 2025. Applications for correction of minor and major errors will be accepted through divisional regional offices after verification by educational institutions.Scrutiny applications open for Intermediate candidatesBSEB said the results of the Intermediate Special Examination, 2026 and Intermediate Compartmental Examination, 2026 were declared on May 23, 2026. Students seeking scrutiny can apply online by paying Rs 120 per subject.Candidates must register using their roll code, roll number and date of birth on the scrutiny portal and create a password for further login. After logging in, students can select the subjects for scrutiny and complete payment through debit card, credit card or net banking.The board stated that scrutiny will cover errors in totaling, unevaluated answers or cases where marks from inner pages were not transferred to the cover page. Marks may increase, decrease or remain unchanged after scrutiny.Similar process announced for Matric examinationsThe board has issued similar guidelines for candidates of the Secondary Special Examination, 2026 and Secondary Compartmental Examination, 2026. The scrutiny application process for Matric candidates is also open from May 25, 2026 to May 29, 2026 with a fee of Rs 120 per subject.Students applying for scrutiny must verify that the payment amount has been credited to the committee’s account within 24 hours. Applications will be treated as incomplete if payment confirmation is not received.BSEB issues directions on certificate correctionsIn a separate notification, BSEB directed recognised secondary and Plus Two institutions to assist students seeking corrections in mark sheets and original certificates issued for the 2025 examinations.Students have been instructed to submit applications with self-attested documents and affidavits through First Class Magistrates to their institutions. After verification of records, school heads will forward the applications with recommendations to divisional regional offices.The board stated that corrected and revised documents will be issued after completion of the verification and amendment process.
