JAMMU: A 31-year-old woman constable of BSF allegedly died by suicide in the family quarters of the force’s camp at Gadigarh on Jammu’s outskirts.Constable Vanita Rani, from Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur, joined the force in 2014 and was posted with BSF’s 165 Battalion. She was found hanging from a ceiling fan with a dupatta Friday.Police said the exact cause of death was yet to be officially established. Her body was sent to the mortuary for postmortem.Vanita Rani’s alleged suicide death comes days after another woman constable, 23-year-old Bishnu Priya Roy from Bengal’s Jalpaiguri, died by suicide in her official residence in Jammu’s Paloura on June 29.
