Lucknow: A private passenger bus travelling from Tambaur to Lucknow overturned in a roadside field after the driver lost control while attempting to avoid potholes on a damaged road in Sitapur’s Reusa area on Sunday.The accident occurred at around 8 am near Sonawa village.Locals rushed to the spot and rescued the injured passengers. Four people sustained minor injuries and were provided first aid before being allowed to return home. No serious injuries were reported.According to residents, the Sonawa-Suketha-Sanda road has remained in poor condition for a long time with large potholes at several locations. Residents said the situation becomes worse during the monsoon, when rainwater fills the potholes and makes them difficult for drivers to spot.They have urged the authorities to conduct an immediate inspection and undertake repairs on the road.
