Canva is calling this its biggest update since launching in 2013, and the scope backs that up. The new AI assistant handles multi-step design workflows through natural language – describe a campaign and it generates the full asset set across channels, with every element staying editable after generation. That last part matters more than it sounds; most AI image tools produce flat outputs you can’t touch. Canva also added integrations with Notion, Slack, Gmail, and Zoom, plus persistent memory that learns brand preferences over time. The first million visitors get preview access now. Between this, Adobe Firefly’s recent push, and Figma’s AI moves, the design tool space is rapidly converging on the same bet: AI as creative co-pilot, not just filter.
