The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday filed a chargesheet against 13 accused in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak case before the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi.The chargesheet, filed by the Economic Offences Wing of the CBI, will be placed before the special fast-track court constituted to hear paper leak cases on Wednesday.According to the agency, the case has been registered under Sections 315(5), 318(4), 61(2), 238 and 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, along with Section 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(a) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and Sections 3, 4, 5, 10 and 11 of the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.As per the information shared by ANI, the accused named in the chargesheet are Yash Yadav, Mangilal Biwal, Dinesh Biwal, Vikas Biwal, Subham Khairnar, Dhananjay Lokhande, Prahalad Kulkarni, Tejas Harshad Kumar, Dr Manoj Shirure, Shivraj Raghunath Motegaonkar, Manisha Waghmare, Manisha Mandhare, and Manisha Sanjay Hawaldar.All 13 accused are currently in judicial custody.The alleged leak of the NEET-UG examination paper triggered nationwide outrage and led to multiple investigations into irregularities in the conduct of the medical entrance examination.Dharmendra Pradhan also resigned on July 25 as Union education minister, following which the Cockroach Janta Party withdrew its 36-day agitation that had mobilised lakhs of people over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations and the NEET paper leak.
