NEW DELHI: The Central Board on Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday declared the results for second edition of the class 10th board examinations. According to CBSE, 6,63,777 students appeared for the second board examination, of whom 5,13,955 took the test to improve their scores from the main examination. A total of 3,08,095 students, or 59.95%, improved their performance over the main board exam.The board said the overall pass percentage, after combining the results of the main and second board examinations, stood at 96.78 per cent.Among students who appeared in the compartment category, 1,49,822 took the examination and 78,503 cleared it, taking the pass percentage in the category to 52.40 per cent, up from 48.68% in 2025.Introduced in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the second board examination gives eligible Class 10 students an additional opportunity to improve their scores. For regular students, the better of the two performances is considered for the final result.Students can access their results through the DigiLocker Results Portal, while schools will receive digital academic documents through CBSE’s repository. Printed marksheets and passing certificates for regular students will be distributed through their respective schools.
