Lucknow: Amid the ongoing students’ stir against NEET paper leak, UP BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary met the candidates who qualified the re-NEET in Lucknow on Friday and asserted that students do not belong to any political faction and their sole objective is to achieve their goals and play a constructive role in the nation’s development.Chaudhary, also a Union minister, welcomed the NEET-qualified students at his Lucknow residence and congratulated them. “Students constitute the nation’s greatest strength and are the architects of its future,” he said.Stressing that student power inspired PM Narendra Modi to build a ‘Viksit Bharat’, Chaudhary emphasised that there should be no politics regarding the future of the youth or the country; instead, solutions should be sought through a positive approach.Chaudhary said welfare of students is PM Modi’s top priority and decisions were being made with their best interests in mind.He affirmed the commitment that no one who jeopardises the future of youth will be spared. Acknowledging that paper leaks were a problem, Chaudhary said dozens of leaks occurred under previous govts as well. He said the Modi govt has taken stringent legal and administrative measures to make examinations leakproof. “Numerous arrests have been made, and three leakproof examinations have been successfully conducted in the past month,” he said.Referring to PM Modi’s decision to set up fast-track courts for swift resolution of cases and impose severe punishment on those found guilty in paper leaks, Chaudhary said that instructions have been issued to all departments concerned to ensure necessary action is taken.He said that this was not the time for politics and focus should be on resolving the problems faced by students. He said issues such as NEET should be discussed in the House, and the collective effort should be directed towards finding solutions.BJP state vice-president Neeraj Singh and Lucknow city president Anand Dwivedi were also present on the occasion.
