Anthropic made the full Claude platform generally available on AWS, letting enterprise customers authenticate via IAM, log through CloudTrail, and consolidate billing on a single AWS invoice that counts toward existing commitments. Unlike Bedrock, which remains available separately, this gives AWS customers access to Claude Managed Agents, code execution, skills, and every new beta at the same time as the native API. The move effectively removes the feature lag that Bedrock customers have dealt with for months. OpenAI runs a similar play through Azure, and Google keeps Gemini tightly integrated with GCP – but Anthropic offering full platform parity through a competitor’s cloud is a structurally different bet on distribution over exclusivity.
