Veteran Bollywood actor Deepak Tijori is a familiar face from the 1990s with notable performances in films like ‘Aashiqui’, ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’, ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’, ‘Khiladi’ and ‘Anjaam’. While he often played supporting roles, his performances left a lasting impression. Over the years, he also established himself as a director with films such as ‘Tom, Dick, and Harry’ and ‘Do Lafzon Ki Kahani’, among others. Now, the actor will be seen in Gujarati film ‘Get Set Go’, an action-adventure film directed by Arnav Kumar. The film also stars Bhaumik Sampat, Jhinal Belani, Raunaq Kamdar, etc.To know more about his view on Gujarati cinema and his interest in doing projects here, he revealed exclusively to ETimes, “Over the years, I have been approached for several Gujarati films, but I politely declined many of them because I felt the subjects didn’t offer me anything creatively new, whereas ‘Get Set Go’ stood out with its fresh premise exploring cryptocurrency and digital finance packaged in an engaging action narrative. Having declined past offers that felt too conventional, I was drawn to this film’s attempt to step into an untapped genre for Gujarati cinema, backed by the sincere passion of producers Bhaumik Sampat and Jhinal Belani, the support of the Jalyan Group, and the fresh creative vision of director Arnav Kumar and cinematographer Tapan Vyas. Gujarati audiences are globally connected, progressive, and excel in business and technology, so our cinema has a wonderful opportunity to reflect that mindset by embracing contemporary storytelling. Ultimately, language has never been my primary consideration I look at it simply as cinema, and my decision came down to a refreshing subject, a committed team, and a character I thoroughly enjoyed bringing to life.”This Gujarati action and adventure film is releasing on August 7, 2026.
