Lucknow: An ultrasound machine installed for pregnant women at Lok Bandhu Hospital has been reportedly out of order for the past two days, leading to protests by patients in the hospital premises on Friday.Patients have alleged that despite complaints, the equipment has not been repaired, forcing many to seek tests at private diagnostic centres. The hospital has three ultrasound machines, of which one is reserved for pregnant women and handles around 50–60 scans daily. The machine developed a fault two days ago, halting pregnancy-related ultrasound services.Patients requiring ultrasound examinations for other medical conditions are also facing delays, with appointments currently being given for July 23. Hospital director Rajesh Kumar said machine would be repaired within one or two days.
