Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh DGP Rajeev Krishna completed his self-enumeration for Census 2027 through the official online census portal on Tuesday, marking beginning of self-enumeration in the police department.Senior officers at Police Headquarters in Lucknow also participated in the process. DGP appealed to police personnel and the public to cooperate in the census exercise and said self-enumeration through the official portal is simple, secure and convenient.Director of Census Operations, UP, Sheetal Verma (IAS), said citizens can complete self-enumeration from May 7 to May 21, through the official portal se.census.gov.in using mobile phones. After submission, a Self-Enumeration ID (SE-ID) is generated, which must be shown to census enumerators during field verification.The first phase of Census 2027 field work in Uttar Pradesh will be conducted from May 22 to Jun 20 through door-to-door surveys using a mobile application.
