The controversy began after social media users noticed that Yami had “liked” an Instagram Reel that appeared to criticise Kriti’s win for her performance in ‘Tere Ishk Mein’. The post gave way to fans debating on who they thought was more deserving. The buzz only amplified when netizens noticed Yami had liked the post. Yami Gautam issues statementIn a tweet, the actress has now responded to the speculation and issued a clarification, saying, “It has come to my notice that I apparently ‘liked’ a reel that is condescending toward another actor. We get tagged in multiple things every day, and this appeared during an award-function reference like any other tag. It isn’t true and was definitely not done consciously, if anything, it may have been clicked accidentally.“Yami Gautam on PR TacticsThe actor also dismissed allegations that her recent activity was a PR stunt. She said, “Never in my life have I resorted to cheap PR tactics. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R.
