Lucknow: Shahi Imam of Lucknow and member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali, stated that crescent moon for Eid-ul-Fitr was expected to be sighted on Mar 19.He added there was strong likelihood the moon will not be visible that evening, making Mar 20 likely to be the 30th day of Ramzan and Eid celebrations on Mar 21. “Final announcement will be made by Markazi Chand Committee in Lucknow at 7.30 pm on Mar 19,” the shahi imam told TOI.Following Eid prayer, special supplications will be offered across the country for peace and global harmony. Maulana Khalid Rasheed emphasised Eid is a spiritual reward granted after a month of fasting, prayer, charity, and devotion during Ramzan.
