Lucknow: UP finance minister and district in-charge minister Suresh Khanna, along with mayor Sushma Kharakwal, on Thursday inspected four wards under Lucknow Municipal Corporation’s Zone-4, and directed officials to remove encroachments, clean vacant plots, improve parking arrangements and complete an ongoing drain project by June 19.The inspection covered Khargapur Saraswan, Bharwara-Malhaur, Chinhat and Rajiv Gandhi wards.In Khargapur Saraswan ward, Khanna reviewed the construction of a drain near Sankat Mochan Gate in Gomti Nagar Extension and asked officials to ensure its completion within the stipulated deadline.At Bharwara-Malhaur ward, officials were directed to clean a vacant plot on STP-Amity Road.During the visit to Chinhat ward, the minister instructed officials to remove encroachments from the market area near Chinhat Crossing and create parking space to improve traffic movement.Khanna said civic services related to sanitation, drainage and traffic management should be monitored closely and directed officials to complete development works on time.Municipal commissioner Gaurav Kumar and other senior officials were present during the inspection.
