BAREILLY: An FIR has been filed against three Class 5 students of a govt school on charges of sexually assaulting a 6-year-old classmate by inserting a pen into his rectum over a trivial classroom scuffle, in Sambhal, police said on Sunday.SP Krishan Kant Bishnoi told TOI, “All four were friends. As of now, no clear motive has emerged. We are probing the circumstances that led to the incident.” The boy’s family said the incident took place on Friday inside the class when his elbow accidentally brushed against one of his classmates. The minor altercation escalated into a scuffle. Teachers intervened, pacified them, and sent them home, but the matter did not end there.Outside the school, one of the juveniles, along with an accomplice, allegedly intercepted the boy and dragged him to a nearby field. Police said the children pinned the boy face-down, two stood on his hands and feet to restrain him, while the third allegedly inserted a pen into his private parts. After the attack, all three fled. The child somehow managed to reach home and narrated his ordeal to the family. As his intestine was severely injured, doctors performed surgery. The FIR was registered under relevant provisions of the BNSand the Pocso Act.(The victim’s identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
