NEW DELHI: Former Afghanistan fast bowler Shapoor Zadran passed away in India on Tuesday, a day before his 39th birthday, following a prolonged illness. He had been receiving treatment at a hospital in India for some time.“With profound grief and deep sorrow, the Afghanistan Cricket Board mourns the passing of former Afghanistan fast bowler Shapoor Zadran,” Afghanistan Cricket Board posted.Zadran was among the pioneering fast bowlers of Afghanistan cricket and played a significant role in the national team’s rise on the international stage.
