Lucknow: On the 114th birth anniversary of former UP chief minister and freedom fighter Babu Banarasi Das, the Dr Akhilesh Das Gupta Foundation organised free health camps across Lucknow Central and flagged off eight free ambulance services.The initiative, led by BBD Group chairman Viraj Sagar Das, included health, dental and eye-care camps at Raniganj and Raja Bazaar, where thousands of residents availed themselves of free check-ups, medical consultations, blood pressure and diabetes screening, and spectacles.Paying tribute to Babu Banarasi Das, Viraj Sagar Das said the initiative was aimed at carrying forward his legacy of public service and welfare. “A healthy citizen is the foundation of a strong society and a developed India,” he said.
