Lucknow: Artificial intelligence, digital governance and startup-led innovation took centre stage during chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s meetings with Google executives and leading global investors in Bengaluru on Wednesday.Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Global Growth Dialogue 2026 roadshow, Yogi met Google Cloud chief technology officer Tarun Pant and his team to discuss the use of AI, cloud computing and data-driven solutions to accelerate the state’s development agenda.During the meeting, the chief minister outlined Uttar Pradesh’s vision of leveraging technology to improve public service delivery, boost farmers’ incomes, strengthen startups and help MSMEs adopt modern digital tools. Discussions also focused on expanding the reach and effectiveness of govt services through technology-enabled governance.Google representatives described the interaction as constructive and said the company was keen to explore opportunities to support the state’s development priorities through artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.CM Yogi also held discussions with senior executives from leading investment and technology firms, including WestBridge Capital, Accel, InMobi, Yulu, Nvidia, Sarvam AI and Blackstone.The conversations centred on investment opportunities, artificial intelligence, innovation, startup growth and employment generation in Uttar Pradesh. Industry leaders praised the state’s improving infrastructure, law and order situation and investor-friendly policies, describing it as one of India’s most promising destinations for investment and innovation.Officials said the engagements reflected growing interest among technology companies and investors in Uttar Pradesh’s expanding digital ecosystem, as the state seeks to position itself as a major hub for AI, startups, innovation and technology-driven growth.
