Lucknow: Congress legislature party leader Aradhana Mishra ‘Mona’ on Wednesday accused UP govt of curtailing the monsoon session of the state Assembly to avoid discussion on issues like Ram Temple donation theft.Reacting to the Assembly being adjourned sine die ahead of its scheduled conclusion on Aug 6, Mishra alleged that govt was “running away” from questions raised by the opposition. She said Congress had sought discussion under Rules 311 and 56 on alleged misuse of temple donations and offerings as well as the shortage of fertiliser faced by farmers.Mishra questioned why a govt with a full majority was unwilling to face a debate in the House.She alleged that govt had avoided discussion on Ram Temple trust’s finances, land purchases, events and expenditure, and claimed that no FIR or arrests had been made against those responsible for the alleged irregularities.She also accused govt of passing the budget without adequate discussion.“Why was the session ended early when it was scheduled to continue till Aug 6?” Mishra asked.
