Govt Friday approved continuation of the farmers’ income support scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana, from 2026-27 to 2030-31 with a total financial outlay of Rs 3.1 lakh crore. Under the scheme, eligible landholding farmer families get financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each.
