Lucknow: A first-of-its-kind “Green Shift Industrial Excellence Award” has been announced to accelerate the transition towards a net zero future in Sarojini Nagar, with a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh for industries adopting sustainable practices.The initiative, part of the broader “Net Zero Industry” framework, will integrate industrial growth with environmental responsibility. It builds on an existing ecosystem that includes Net Zero Schools, Societies, Townships, and Villages, creating a comprehensive roadmap for sustainable development.The award will be presented on June 5, World Environment Day, to encourage industries and MSMEs to adopt green technologies, energy efficiency, water conservation, and sustainable operations.Support measures such as access to green finance, technical assistance, and government-backed schemes will help industries transition effectively.The initiative is expected to drive behavioural change, promote innovation, and contribute to a cleaner, greener future for Lucknow.
