Indian Navy Agniveer Apprentice recruitment 2026: The online application window for Indian Navy Agniveer (Apprentice) Recruitment 2026 closes today, July 5, 2026, for enrolment into the 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches. Unmarried Indian male candidates meeting the prescribed educational and age criteria can submit applications through the Indian Navy’s official recruitment portal before the deadline.The recruitment drive is open to candidates who have passed Class 10 with at least 50 per cent marks and completed a three-year AICTE-recognised engineering diploma with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in the prescribed disciplines. The notification was published in the June 6–12, 2026 edition of the Employment Newspaper, while the application process commenced on June 5, 2026.Eligibility and application detailsApplications are being accepted only in online mode. The recruitment is being conducted for Agniveer (Apprentice) 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches, while Stage I will be held through INET 2/2026. The number of vacancies has not been disclosed.All applicants are required to pay an examination fee of ?550 plus 18 per cent GST through Net Banking, Visa, MasterCard, RuPay Credit or Debit Card, or UPI. The notification states that the fee will not be refunded under any circumstances after payment.Age criteria for both batchesFor the 01/2027 batch, candidates must have been born between December 1, 2004 and May 31, 2008, both dates inclusive. For the 02/2027 batch, the eligible birth dates are between May 1, 2005 and October 31, 2009. Candidates born between December 1, 2004 and October 31, 2009 are eligible to appear for INET 2/2026, while Stage II eligibility will be determined according to the batch-specific age requirements.Selection process and recruitment scheduleThe selection process includes the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET 2/2026), followed by shortlisting based on merit, the Physical Fitness Test, Stage II written examination and the Recruitment Medical Examination. A state-wise merit list will then be prepared before final medical formalities at INS Chilka.According to the schedule, INET 2/2026 is scheduled for August 2026. Results are expected by the end of August or early September 2026. Stage II for the 01/2027 batch is planned for October 2026, with induction at Chilka in December 2026. For the 02/2027 batch, Stage II is scheduled for March 2027, followed by induction in May 2027.
