Lucknow: Isabella Thoburn College on Friday celebrated its Baccalaureate awards ceremony for the academic session 2025-26. The event took place after a gap of nearly five years as it was discontinued post the Covid-19 pandemic.Students dressed in white sarees and white kurtis filled the hall with grace and excitement, capturing memories with selfies while holding certificates, medals and fellowships.Parents filled the hall with pride, clicking photographs of their graduating children.The lamp of knowledge was lit by chief guest, Bishop C Selvin along with the retiring faculty members, Prof Seema Joshi, Prof Vinita Vijai and Paul Mathew.Husna Ansari, who received three gold medals at the Lucknow University for securing the highest percentage of marks in Mathematics at the BA III and BSc III examination of 2024 was also felicitated.Selected meritorious students also received scholarships at the event. Mahek Walter received the Isabella Thoburn Scholarship, Jessica Pauline Lakra received the Mary E Shannon Scholarship, Asna Wajahat Alam received the Marjorie Dimmit Scholarship, Mahi Singh received the Olive Reddick Scholarship while Naina Tiwari and Anushka Singh received the Sara Chakko Fellowship.Toppers of various courses and students involved in extracurricular activities were also honoured.
