NEW DELHI: In the third such incident this month, Indian Army troops apprehended a Pakistani intruder after he crossed the Line of Control (LoC) into Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Sunday, officials told news agency PTI.The intruder, identified as 31-year-old Rayees Khan, a resident of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), was taken into custody in the Balakote sector shortly after crossing into Indian territory.Officials said no incriminating material was recovered from Khan. He is being questioned to determine the motive behind his cross-border movement and whether he had any intended contacts or objectives on the Indian side.The latest arrest comes just two days after another PoK resident, 26-year-old Mohammad Sajad, was apprehended in the Gulpur area of the Krishna Ghati sector in Poonch on Friday. Earlier, on June 9, a 14-year-old identified as Javid Ali was detained after crossing the LoC and was handed back to Pakistan a week later.In a separate incident on Sunday, a suspected Pakistani drone briefly entered Indian airspace near Nundpur village along the International Border in Samba district, prompting a search operation by the Border Security Force (BSF), Army and police. Officials said no weapons, narcotics or other suspicious material were recovered during the searches.
