Lucknow: A joint inspection by the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) and the fire department has uncovered building plan and fire safety violations at several commercial establishments, including an unauthorised bar at a prominent hotel in Gomtinagar.At another hotel in Gomtinagar, a bakery, staff room and laundry were operating from the basement parking area. An illegal banquet hall was found in the basement of a hotel in Aashiana, while in Vibhuti Khand, a hotel was using its basement parking area for commercial activities.Reviewing the inspection report on Tuesday, divisional commissioner and LDA chairman Vijay Vishwas Pant directed officials to issue notices to all violators, stop unauthorised activities immediately and seal premises if violations are not rectified within the stipulated time.Pant also ordered action against officials who issued completion certificates to buildings where violations have surfaced.LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar said the survey covered 122 establishments, including hotels, guest houses and banquet halls.
